In his Pastoral letter, Unleash the Gospel, Archbishop Vigneron asked that every parish establish an Intercessory Prayer Team. This group of people is to pray specifically for the pastor, the leadership team, the staff, all parishioners, and all parish efforts. We believe in the power of prayer, and continue “to ask, to seek, and to knock” for the Lord’s blessing upon us. We have established such a team, and at the moment we have four persons who try to meet every other week at the parish. We would like to grow this group and would welcome more members to be part of this team and support this effort. Having a few more people helps when someone needs to miss a gathering. You don’t have to have any special skills, just faith, love for the Lord, and a willingness to pray with others for the parish. It is not just a prayer group, but a prayer group with a special mission: to pray for the parish. If you would like to be part of this group, please contact the parish office or Br. Eric. We have placed a small box in the gathering space (on the table to the right as you enter Church) where parishioners can place specific requests for prayer. These petitions will be read at the gathering and placed before the Lord. Please consider being part of this engine that will help the parish move forward! To help us become a more prayerful and joyful band of missionary disciples, we have also begun a new effort. Each morning, those who are receiving our “Flocknote” emails will receive a daily prayer in your inbox. We hope that this will help you take a moment each day to lift up your heart and mind to the Lord. (Some of you may have received 3 prayers last Sunday morning. I am still learning how to manage the Flocknote program!) If you are not receiving our emails/texts and would like to do so, please text good2Bhere to 84576 and follow the prompts, or visit our website to sign up.
