Secular Franciscan Order

St. Elizabeth Fraternity Secular Franciscan Order

Secular Franciscans are Catholic lay men and women, married and single, who are called to embrace more deeply the grace given to them in baptism by following the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as expressed through the life and teachings of St. Francis of Assisi.

We do so by obedience to a Rule of Life and by active participation in a community called a fraternity.  We pledge ourselves to spend our efforts to make our fraternity a genuine Ecclesial Assembly and a living Franciscan Community.

As simple followers of Jesus, Secular Franciscans seek to go from Gospel to Life and from Life back to the Gospel, seeking, as Francis did, to be continually conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

If you are a man or a woman who seeks to renew the Church and who desires to be an instrument of peace to the world by living the Gospel of Jesus...

If you seek the support of a lay community that is open to the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit...

If you believe in the power of prayer and enjoy praying with others...

Come and visit our community of Joyful Christians...

The Secular Franciscans meet the third Sunday of each month immediately following the noon Mass.
