April Prayer Intention
Our Lady of La Salette
For open minds and hearts
that we might see each other
as brothers and sisters in Christ,
one and equal in dignity,
especially immigrants and victims of abuse,
violence, deceit, or poverty.
WELCOME, BROTHERS!
Two new friars will be joining the
Transfiguration Franciscan fraternity soon.
Br. Al Masica, OFM
Br. Michael Radomski, OFM
Br. Al and Br. Michael formerly lived at Duns Scotus Friary
in the rectory of Our Lady of La Salette Parish, Berkley
Because of re-assignments of friars at that friary
it was determined that they would come to share life with us.
They are not assigned to ministry in the parish,
But you will no doubt see them around the parish!
Br. Al is a musician
who has written and performs a one act musical
on the life of Blessed Solanus Casey entitled
More Love than Skill: A Saint and His Fiddle.
Br. Michael is a handy man/woodworker
who has most recently worked in maintenance
at Our Lady of La Salette Parish.
He is also enjoying active involvement with the Secular Franciscans
in the metro Detroit area
providing spiritual assistance for the past 16 years.
