It was bitter cold last year, but some very brave and committed parishioners joined in the annual Southfield Martin Luther King Peace Walk. We would like to participate again, to demonstrate our faith and commitment to equality and justice for all! The walk begins on Monday, January 20, at 9:30 AM at the Hope United Methodist Church, 26275 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield. We will carry our banner for the approximately 1 mile walk to the Southfield Civic Center Pavilion for the program which begins at 11:00 AM there. (Last year there were buses that brought marchers back to Hope Methodist from the Civic Center to pick up their cars.) If walking is difficult, you can just participate at the 11:00 AM program.
