Thanks to all who contributed to the 2021 Catholic Services Appeal (CSA)! Thanks to your generosity, we were $180 over our goal of $43,354.
The goal for this year (2022) is $42,793. So far, of our 410 households, 47 have pledged or contributed, with an average gift of $269.89.
The amount that is assigned to each parish for CSA appeal is calculated using a complex formula that uses an average of the last three year’s offertory and Christmas collections.
Any shortfall must be made up from parish savings. Any amount contributed over the goal is returned to the parish, and that amount is not used to determine any future CSA assessment or the general yearly assessment. So contributions to the CSA fund, especially when we exceed our goal, are a great way to contribute to the parish. It actually helps us more than a gift at Christmas!
