Its been a week since I shared with you the results of our provincial election and the new work that I am suddenly called to do. The sorrow at having to leave Transfiguration Parish still outweighs any other considerations. I would like to give you some idea of what the position of provincial vicar involves, but everything is still new to me. I'll share my new address and other contact information with you when I have those detailed worked out.
I will have only one or two more articles to write for the bulletin. If all goes well, by the time you are reading this you will know who is coming to take my place. The celebration of my forty years of ordination will take place as planned on June 11, but it will also have to be my farewell to you.
