A Franciscan Parish in the Archdiocese of Detroit

Browsing FROM THE DESK OF FR. JEFF

March 28-29, 2020

Just like you, the friars and the staff of Transfiguration are taking things day by day during this unusual time. We are trying to do our part to contain the spread of the virus and keep ourselves and you safe! And, of course, we pray! During these days we are also trying to stay in contact with you through social media.

We are live streaming Mass on our Parish Facebook page. Check us out. If you can’t catch the mass “live,” it will remain on our Facebook page.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM

Sunday - 8:30 AM

Periodically we may also live stream other events. Recently, the friars prayed the rosary and prayed the Stations of the Cross. We are not professionals with social media, but we are learning!

You can also get information and the weekly bulletin on our website:

www.transfigsfld.org

We are also using a service called Flocknote to send a daily prayer and periodic messages. If you would like to receive these emails or texts from the parish, you can sign up through our website or text (and then follow the prompts).

Our sign in phrase echoes the words of St. Peter at the first Transfiguration: “Lord, it is good for us to be here.”

The suspension of Masses continues through Easter Sunday, April 12. We will bless the palms at the Palm Sunday morning online Mass at 8:30 AM. Arrangements will be made for their distribution at a later date.

Stay safe and healthy. We will get through this!

Fr. Jeff
