Here are some of the good things that are coming to Transfiguration this Fall!

The 3rd Gathering of our Family of Parishes is Tuesday, September 14 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help (on Oak Park Blvd.).

You will have the opportunity to watch and discuss the TV series ,“The Chosen” on Tuesday evenings, (7-8:30) beginning on September 21.

Bible Study (Intro to the OT) with Br. John Barker, OFM, PhD, will begin on Wednesday mornings (9-10:30), September 29.

The deacons who are part of our Family of Parishes (Deacons Dan Darga, Daniel Gonos, Clem Stankiewicz) will be visiting our parish during the weekends of September.

The Pastors will rotate among the parishes once each quarter. Fr. Paul Chateau of Our Mother of Perpetual Help will be here on the weekend of October 9-10.

You will have an opportunity to sign up for various ministries the weekend of October 2-3.

To honor the feast of St. Francis, there will be a pet blessing on Saturday, October 2 at 11AM, and the Transitus (a prayer service remembering the death of St. Francis) will be celebrated on Sunday, October 3, at 7PM.

Remember that September 1 through October 4 is the “Season of Creation,” a time to thank God for our “common home” (as Pope Francis calls the earth), and to be proactive in caring for it.

Stay tuned! More good things to come!

Fr. Jeff
